Our Services are held on Sundays @ 11AM, in a church building in the heart of downtown Haverhill (232 Main St., Haverhill, MA). We share space with another church that meets before us on Sunday morning. It’s a beautiful partnership.

You’ll find plenty of free parking in the lot next to the building.

Come in what you’re comfortable in. You’ll see everything from button downs and dresses to sweat pants and bare feet.

At the entrance, you’ll meet our friendly greeters, fill out a name tag (we all wear them!), grab some coffee, a couple breath mints, and make your way into the sanctuary (if you have kids who want to join Kids Commons, register them at the computer located at the Kids Commons table in the foyer).

You’ll experience both time-honored and contemporary elements at Haverhill Commons.

Each service opens with the singing of our call to worship, followed by congregational singing. We typically sing a combination of hymns and contemporary songs, all chosen in light of the passage being preached. We then take a minute to greet each other, gather and get comfortable. Then a member of our team shares upcoming opportunities and invites us to continue our worship with the giving of our offering - the time, treasure, and talent God has given us to love and serve others.

We then stand for the reading of God’s word and respond with the singing of the Doxology. We respond to our 25-30 minute sermons with congregational singing, and close our service with a benediction, spoken over all the people. Our worship continues with an invitation to stay for SoulFood (more info below).

Kids are a huge part of our community and all children are welcome to worship with the congregation during our Sunday services. To help kids (and adults!) focus and participate on Sunday mornings, we provide coloring pages, blank paper, colored pencils, fidgets, and more at the Kids Commons table in the back of the sanctuary. In addition, we also provide the following developmentally geared classrooms for kids to join during the service:

0 to 6 Year Old Class: Every Sunday, our youngest children are welcome to join Kids Commons during the entire service. Our caring, trained volunteers provide a developmentally appropriate space for them to play, sing and encounter God through a story about Jesus and a related craft or activity.

1st to 5th Grade Class: Every Sunday, we welcome children in 1st-5th grade to join their peers in Kids Commons during the sermon. Children are invited to line up at the back of the sanctuary during the Doxology and walk with their friends and teachers to their classroom. They’ll engage in a conversation about God’s Big Story, then participate in a fun and engaging craft, game or other activity.

Following the service we gather together over SoulFood and connect with one another over bagels, donuts, or perhaps even a fresh apple popover! We would love to welcome you and introduce you to others within The Commons! Please stick around and fill out a communication card to get more connected.
