Sunday Worship Service
Sunday Service
Our Sunday morning gatherings integrate traditional and modern practices to create a purposeful worship experience. We sing, stand for the reading of scripture, engage God’s word during a 25 minute sermon.
In this short series, we’re looking at how God works through the changes in our lives to renovate us to look more like Jesus.
In addition to our normal worship, the first Sunday of every month, we celebrate communion together at the Lord’s Table.
Kids Commons
We strive to make Kids Commons a place where all kids can feel safe, be curious, and know they are loved by God.
The 0 to 6 Year Old Class is available each Sunday and can be joined anytime before or during the service.
The 1st through 5th Grade Class is available each Sunday and children are invited to join during the sermon.
SoulFood
Please join us after the service for SoulFood, a space to meet, connect, and engage with one another...all over coffee and a bite to eat.
Sisterhood Saturday - Christmas Cookie Swap
Join us for our Fourth Annual Christmas Cookie Swap on December 20th from 2-4pm!
Sisterhood Saturdays are a regular opportunity for women to get together for connection and encouragement. Whether you have been to several or this is your first one, we'd love to have you join us for food and fellowship! This time we're gathering at Fulton Hall on the campus of Gordon College.

Candlelight Christmas Eve Service
Candlelight Service
A heartfelt, traditional New England classic. On Christmas Eve we gather for a special candlelight service to celebrate the birth of Jesus.
It will be a beautiful service, full of familiar Christmas hymns, capped off with the singing of Silent Night by candlelight.
Kids Commons
We invite all children to join our main service and we will have an array of activities and coloring pages available for people of all ages in the foyer. (We will not have a separate Kids Commons space on Christmas Eve).
Alpha Course
Alpha is an 12 week course where we can ask the deep questions we have about life and faith.
We'll meet Tuesday nights from 6:30pm to 8:30pm in the Youth Room at Brookridge, starting September 18.

SoulCare Sunday: The Rhythms of Fall
SoulCare Sunday
Instead of gathering in our normal space for Sunday worship, on SoulCare Sunday, we partner with Rolling Ridge Retreat Center to experience God in community and embrace the wonderful rhythms of fall.
The property at Rolling Ridge includes a quiet lakefront, green pastures, paths through the woods, two prayer labyrinths, manicured lawns, as well as gardens and community growing spaces. All only 10 minutes from downtown Haverhill.
A Spiritual Director will guide us through spiritual practices in this beautiful outdoor setting. After some time in contemplation, we’ll gather to share our experiences of renewal and rest with each other, creation, and God
This event is open to adults and children, just let us know how many are attending so that we can plan accordingly.
Commons Special: Backyard Bonfire
Backyard Bonfire
A special event with Haverhill Commons. On Saturday, Nov. 1st, we’re combining two backyards to host a an epic backyard bonfire with plenty of activities for the kids and at least two fire pits. We’ll gather around the flickering flames, roast marshmallows, enjoy the company and conversation.
We’ll provide food and drinks, and then, halfway through the evening, we’ll shift into a conversation about how our faith informs our engagement in a contemporary topic. These are open ended and flexible conversations, giving us a chance to practice our values of curiosity, authenticity, and humility.
You’re welcome to drop in for part of the evening or stay for the whole thing.

Movie Screening: Sound of Hope
As part of Fostering Hope - Merrimack Valley, we’re excited to share this special event: a screening of Sound of Hope: The Possum Trot Story (trailer). It’s the true story of what can happen when an entire church makes a commitment to care for children - and one another.
Sound of Hope tells the true story of Donna and Rev. W.C. Martin, who led their small East Texas church to embrace 77 children from the foster care system — children others had overlooked. It is a powerful reminder that together we can make a difference for our most vulnerable children. Please note: it is not suitable for children under 13 or for children who have experienced trauma.
This is a free event with the potential to unite multiple churches with a shared vision of how we might support and care for families and children.
