Alpha Course
Alpha is an 12 week course where we can ask the deep questions we have about life and faith.
We'll meet Tuesday nights from 6:30pm to 8:30pm in the Youth Room at Brookridge, starting September 18.
Commons Special: Backyard Bonfire
Backyard Bonfire
A special event with Haverhill Commons. On Saturday, Nov. 1st, we’re combining two backyards to host a an epic backyard bonfire with plenty of activities for the kids and at least two fire pits. We’ll gather around the flickering flames, roast marshmallows, enjoy the company and conversation.
We’ll provide food and drinks, and then, halfway through the evening, we’ll shift into a conversation about how our faith informs our engagement in a contemporary topic. These are open ended and flexible conversations, giving us a chance to practice our values of curiosity, authenticity, and humility.
You’re welcome to drop in for part of the evening or stay for the whole thing.
SoulCare Sunday: The Rhythms of Fall
SoulCare Sunday
Instead of gathering in our normal space for Sunday worship, on SoulCare Sunday, we partner with Rolling Ridge Retreat Center to experience God in community and embrace the wonderful rhythms of fall.
The property at Rolling Ridge includes a quiet lakefront, green pastures, paths through the woods, two prayer labyrinths, manicured lawns, as well as gardens and community growing spaces. All only 10 minutes from downtown Haverhill.
A Spiritual Director will guide us through spiritual practices in this beautiful outdoor setting. After some time in contemplation, we’ll gather to share our experiences of renewal and rest with each other, creation, and God
This event is open to adults and children, just let us know how many are attending so that we can plan accordingly.
Women’s Bible Study
Join other women at Haverhill Commons for a 5-week study on the book of Ruth.
We'll meet Tuesday nights from 7:00pm to 9:00pm in the Youth Room at Brookridge, starting July 22.

Movie Screening: Sound of Hope
As part of Fostering Hope - Merrimack Valley, we’re excited to share this special event: a screening of Sound of Hope: The Possum Trot Story (trailer). It’s the true story of what can happen when an entire church makes a commitment to care for children - and one another.
Sound of Hope tells the true story of Donna and Rev. W.C. Martin, who led their small East Texas church to embrace 77 children from the foster care system — children others had overlooked. It is a powerful reminder that together we can make a difference for our most vulnerable children. Please note: it is not suitable for children under 13 or for children who have experienced trauma.
This is a free event with the potential to unite multiple churches with a shared vision of how we might support and care for families and children.

One of our favorite Fall events is taking a trip to Cider Hill Farm in Amesbury. They've got a huge orchard full of apple trees, a peep of chickens, a bake shop, food trucks, 4582 million pumpkins, and of course, cider donuts.
On September 21st, after our Sunday service, we'll head over to Cider Hill Farm and see what kind of fun we can have together. Get it on your calendar now!

Summer Special: Picnic at the Park
Picnic at the Park
We end our seasonal alternating rhythm with a splash! Instead of our normal worship service, we'll gather at Swasey Park in Haverhill, for one last summer celebration. Swasey Park has a little bit for everyone, the kids will especially love running through the splash pad area.
We'll provide food and plenty of drinks to stay hydrated. All you need to do is show up!
What to Bring
We encourage everyone to bring a lawn chair, towels, and a blanket to sit on. If you want to run through the splash pad, a swimsuit is a good idea. Depending on the weather, we advise bringing sunscreen and a hat.
The park has a few baseball diamonds, open fields, and a basketball court, so feel free to bring baseball gear, a frisbee, or anything else that seems like fun.
